About Us

Expressions of Afrika is a Chicago based business designed to bring you some of the finest textiles from West Afrika. We began 1996 with only twelve prints. We now have over forty prints as well as a variety of other fabrics including: mud cloth, both hand and machine made, brocades, cotton/flax blend, and wax prints. 

The majority of the fabrics come from Senegal, Benin, and Mali. However we do have some stunning pieces from Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Gambia. 

We've had the pleasure of participating in sewing and quilt shows in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and Wisconsin. 
Our goal is to provide you with quality fabric that brings novelty and variety to your designs.
